Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions of the company
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
- Prepare and file all necessary tax and regulatory reports
- Review and approve all vendor and subcontractor invoices
- Manage cash flow and ensure adequate funding for ongoing projects
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Assist with the annual budgeting process
- Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting for all projects
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as Viewpoint Vista or Sage)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- CPA designation preferred but not required
